RF2: Cadence

Cadence is currently the most widely used tool for full custom RF integrated circuit design. That is not necessarily implying it is the most userfriendly, the most functional, or even the "best" tool to use - it is simply the most difficult to avoid. You will have no problem finding people with rather strong opinions about Cadence for RF design. Nevertheless, since foundries provide their technology libraries usually in Cadence format, since most tutorials use Cadence, since most industrial and academic partners that we cooperate with use Cadence, and since it would be rather difficult to fully avoid using Cadence in the course of your career, we selected Cadence as the tool to use in the assignments of the IC group at the TU/e.

In this section, we will help you get started with Cadence by providing you with links to resources that we found useful in the past.
